NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 30, 2018) Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Devaney Lewis, from Miami, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) aviation intermediate maintenance department, receives her certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer second class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. Lewis was promoted following her selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
