Sculpture of Lucrecia Borgia, daughter of Pope Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia) in front of Escuelas Pías (Old University of Gandia) founded as a college by Saint Francis Borgia in 1546 and converted in University by a Papal Bull from Pope Paulo III in 1549. It was the first University managed by the Society of Jesus. There were university lessons until 1776 when the Jesuits were forced to leave the place.
