An etched halberd of the palace guard of Ferdinand of Bavaria, dated 1584 Robust thrusting spike of quadrangular section, at the base a compressed ball with fullered decoration. Rectangular blade, the fluke on the reverse with two long lateral lugs. Square socket with four long side straps and reinforced by a ring. One face of the blade etched with the Bavarian coat of arms and date "ANNO MDLXXXIIII".
