Red deer eyeing the photographer LONDON FUNNY WILDLIFE images show a red deer crossing two banks in South London?s Bushy Park through water. The red deer is Britain?s largest land mammal. A fully-grown male (stag) could weigh up to 418 lbs and stand around four to five feet tall. However, this one has a long way to go, as he is just over a year old. The UK houses about 350,000 red deers, of which 12,000 reside in England. The population has remained largely unchanged over the last ten years. These pictures were snapped by a 40-year-old Bulgarian wildlife photographer, Dimitar Nedelchev, who currently lives in London. Dimitar took these pictures using his Canon EOS R6 Mark 2 camera and Canon RF 800mm with STM - super-telephoto prime - lens. ?The moment I saw the deer enter the water, I immediately lay on the ground to take these shots," he said. ?These shots were an unexpected yet beautiful surprise. There were also other stags with their calves strolling about, so I had to be really silent and careful. ?I love nature and animals very much, and the time spent in nature is the most ENDS
