Contestants are typically male, under 30, from the working class and farming communities. Bull riding is considered the most dangerous sport in the world. Riding up to 1000kg irate and bucking bulls around a small ring, it is not a sport for the faint hearted. Nevertheless, events flourish in rural Australia, where the image of the cavalier is a culture in itself.
