Prescott still, 1887. preserves the two papers received this morn-ing from young Forrester. The larger paper is apparently a piece tornfrom one of the C. S. A. Governments common blue envelopes ; thesmaller paper is a leaf from a small pocket memorandum book or writing is in pencil but clear and legible, though evidently the writ-ing of a person of limited education.
