To pick up some stones from some thousand meter deep submarine slopes of old volcanoes the crew of German research vessel Sonne is launching a dredge somewhere in the South Atlantic Ocean far off the coast of Namibia. Um Gestein von den Hängen alter Vulkane in einigen tausend Metern Wassertiefe Steine an Bord des deutschen Forschungsschiffs Sonne zu holen, nutzen die Forscher und Seeleute an Bord des deutschen Forschungsschiffs Sonne solche Kettensäcke, die in der Fachsprache "Dredge" genannt werden.
