Scarlet Hedgehog Cactus
A cluster of Scarlet Hedgehog Cactus bursts with red, as April suggests the approach of summer. I spotted the cluster a week or two earlier as I passed on my way home, determined to return. Imagine my joyous surprise, when the round green tops I spotted from the road had magically transformed to eruptions of red petaled buds and flowers.
