Especially beautiful is the old town with it's moorish roofs and descending narrow streets facing the intence blue Mediterranean sea. Has a very special architecture with beautifull dors and modulated windows full of floers and plantpots. In addition one of the most picturesque church domes on the Mediterranean. Altea is a town very much appreciated by artists and painters, due to the views from the town’s main Square and the bright Mediterranean light. There is a new Concert Hall which offers music, theatre or ballet of excellent quality all year round. There are 6 kms of beaches, some are small coves and there is a large pebble Beach.
