A 3 to 4 meters long model of the 17th century battleship Vasa real ship in the background at the Vasa museum in Stockholm


The battleship was built for King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden 1626-1628, but sunk in the first mile of her maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. In 1961 the ship was salvaged and is now on display at the Vasa Museum in on Djurgården island in Stockholm, Sweden.
