5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Aug. 16, 2018) as Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) Fireman Isaiah Fonseca visually inspects a fuel sample for water and sediment aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) during a replenishment-at-sea with the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203). Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
