A model 1814 sabre for the Gardes du Corps du Roi, 1st model, Restoration Period Slightly curved blade à la Montmorency. The obverse side is etched with "Gardes du Corps du Roi" amid Bourbon fleur-de-lys and martial trophies, above the proof mark. The reverse side bears crowned coat of arms between a sun and trophies-of-war. The manufacturer's inscription "Klingenthal" is on the back of the blade. Gold-plated brass hilt with the knuckle-guard bearing another Bourbon coats of arms between trophies. The back of the guard plate is marked "Versailles" above stamped,
