Sculpture of King Alfonso III of Asturias in the Jardín de los Reyes Caudillos in Oviedo, Spain. In the garden are figures representing the twelve Kings of Asturias. The Asturian capital of Oviedo is the traditional starting point of the Camino Primitivo, a less-traveled route of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. The path runs southwest, eventually joining the Camino Frances route and ending in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia.
