It is possible that these trays might be covered with fly netting, but this would increase the time needed for drying, and would also not wholly obviate the difficulty, unless the netting was held above the fruit, for if laid directly upon it the netting would only aid the flies. A single attempt to dry blackberries under glass when covered with netting proved such a failure, inducing so much more molding than without the netting, that there is.
