Considering the fact that Beck-ford and Shattuck were barred fromboth games, Mates made a fine showing,and although these losses were con-sidered serious, the team has been ableto pick up, and the last game withBowdoin showed considerable improve-ment over the game with the PortlandCountry Chili, about a month ago.
