Vintage engraving print of French Queen Marie Antoinette being condemned to death by the Revolutionary Tribunal in October 1793. Antoinette married Dauphin Louis-Auguste at the age of 14 and became Queen of France when her husband ascended to the throne as Louis XVI in 1774 following the death of King Louis XV. Her husband was deposed during the French Revolution and executed on January 21 1793. Antoinette herself went to the guillotine nine months later on October 16. Engraving circa 1857 by Alphonse Francois, based on the painting by Paul Delaroche.
