VERTEBRAL ALGODYSTROPHY

Algodystrophy, osteodensimetry of the lumbar vertebrae (L2 to L5). Algodystrophy is a syndrome characterized by a severe pain in the articulations, associated to an inflammation and a bone demineralization. This affection would be due to a perturbation of the nerve impulse conduction, responsible for anomalies of vasomotricity (functionning of blood vessels). Algodystrophy is a pathology classifyied amongst the complex regional pain syndromes. Osteodensitometry reveals a patchy osteoporosis characteristic of the disease.
