In addition tothis, the adaptation of the houses to the needs ofthe various species of birds that haunt the Bronx,shows that the boys, while acquiring skill withtools, have also studied the habits of the A HOUSE MADE OF A SOAP-BOX AND A SAUCEPAN LID. houses, some of which All that the boys needed was a bit of encour-agement, and this their school principal, an en-thusiastic ornithologist, supplied. The naturalresult was the making of all these charming, up-to-date bird-houses. And one of the best thingsabout it is that the boys themselves built everybit of the houses, doing the work at home, with
