Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology This laboratory studies the molecular and cellular bases of two neural programs that regulate different important behaviors in the model mollusc Aplysia. Research is conducted on the mechanisms of the neuronal circadian oscillators located in the eyes. These circadian oscillators drive the circadian activity rhythm of the animal, which is concerned with the daily timing of food gathering and of prolonged rest.
