The small chalk-like Orange fruit body of a golden bracket fungus, Phellinus Gilvus, in the undergrowth of a pine plantation in the Kaapsche Hoop region of South Africa. The golden Bracket Fungi, also known as a mustard yellow polypore is a saprophytic fungus found mostly on dead deciduous wood, although it can occur on conifers as well.
