View NW to Loch Craignish of the prehistoric rock art on the E outcrop at Ormaig, Argyll, Scotland, UK, including cupmarks, cup-and-rings, grooves & ringed rosettes (central cups with a rosette of 8-11 smaller cups surrounded by an unbroken ring. The carvings were excavated & recorded 1972-5 & again around 2007. Sealed dates for some of the Kilmartin rock art push the carvings back into the Late Neolithic period around 4500 years ago. Various parts of the decorated schist rock sheet have been uncovered & re-covered over the years, but there are at least 250 cups and other carvings spread over three main areas.
