June, 2023. Aftermath of a large heathland fire at Frensham Common in Surrey, England, UK, which started on 29th May 2023. The cause of the wildfire remains unknown. Frensham Common is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI), and the blaze has destroyed an important area of lowland heath which was a habitat for rare reptiles and other wildlife.
