A loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) is seen before being released at Puerto Banus beach. In 2023, a total of 59 turtle eggs (Caretta caretta) hatched on a beach in Marbella. Throughout the year, members of the Management Centres of Andalusian Marine Areas provided care for the turtle eggs, with the aim of facilitating their conservation and growth, and preparing them for release into the sea. Some of the turtles were equipped with a satellite system, which allows monitoring of their journey at sea.
