Isador Michael Lerner (1910-1977, left), Russian geneticist and Ruggero Ceppellini (1917-1988, right), Italian geneticist. Lerner is best known for the idea of genetic homoeostasis (also known as Lerner homeostasis) where populations maintain a steady genetic constitution over time.
