The Army Corps of Engineers’ Operation Blue Roof uses the fiber-reinforced plastic sheeting to cover Hurricane Irma-damaged roofs on eligible homes. As of Oct. 2, 2017, the Corps has installed more than 1300 “blue roofs” across 29 counties in Florida.
