Elizabeth Mathieson MacColl (1863–1951) Bluish-green goatskin, with a gilt design tooled mostly with a wheel, showing a peacock with exploding tail. Elizabeth MacColl studied under Sarah Prideaux (191) and became one of the best-known women binders of her time, although all of her bindings were designed by her brother, MacColl.
