Originally owned by Missouri Senator George G. Vest, this medal is a copy made by Colonel John T. Pickett of the original Great Seal of the Confederacy. The medal shows an equestrian portrait of George Washington surrounded by a wreath of agricultural products of the South. Includes case, which houses the medal under glass. Title: Gold-plated Medallion Bearing the Great Seal of the Confederacy, owned by Sen. George G. Vest . between 1874 and 1888.
