All of the taller growing kinds should be staked to prevent injury from high winds. _ _ _ Carpatica {Carpathian Harebell). A pretty species growing in compact tufts, not exceeding 8 inches high; flowers clear blue; held erect on wiry stems. It begins blooming in June, continuing until October. As an edging for a hardy border or for the rockery it is unsurpassed. â Alba. A pure white form of the above. Lactiflora. Anattractiveflowerof milk white tinged with blue; 3 feet. Latifolia Macrantha. Large purplish-blue flowers. May and June; 3 feet. Medium {Canterbury Bells). We offer this popular variety in mixed colors only.
