An application of powdered white Hellebore is an effect- ual and very cheap remedy for the currant worm; its use has become general among currant growers. Two year old plants generally bear the first season after planting. CHERRY —Red. One of the largest known, fair quality but not as productive as ; CRANDALI A new Black variety of great promise originated in Kansas. Ven berries averaging one-half inch in diameter, quality a great improvement over any other variety, very hardy, vigorous and productive. FAY'S PROLIFIC—This valuable variety has nearly superseded all other varieties of red Currants. As large as Cherry, much better quality with less acid, immensely productix-v and on account of its peculiar stem less expensive to pick.
