Whitehall, London, UK. 25th May 2016. Jeremy Corbyn joins steel protest march in Westminster, London. GMB and other steel industry unions march in London over "the continued failure of the Government to deal with the crisis in the steel industry". The future of Britain’s steel industry could be decided as early as today as Tata’s board gathers in India to examine bids for its troubled UK operations. Executives from the conglomerate will meet in Mumbai to discuss rescue bids to take on the troubled UK steel business centred around the Port Talbot plant, which has run up losses of as much as £1m a day.
