William,^ William),^ was born in 1836. After having graduatedfrom Lawrence Academy at the age of nineteen, he was placed by his parentsin the wholesale dry-goods house of Clement Salisbury, Boston, for the purposeof acquiring a thorough business education, with which house he remainedtlve years, having filled the position of entry and shipping clerk, salesman andbookkeeper, and left said concern to engage in business for himself. He wasin business six years in Cincinnati, where he was married. He carried on amercantile business in Falmouth ten years, and at Woods Holl five efficient service as Postmaster at Falmouth was from 1885 to October 12,1889. His livery business and running barges from Falmouth depot to Fal-mouth Heights, in the summer season, require thirty horses. He now alsogives his own personal attention to the most extensive real estate business ofthe town. 1
