He was baptized Feb. 2, 1868, in Landskrona, Sweden, by B. , and confirmed the same dayby N. B. Walter, was ordained a Dea-con, May 17, 1868, by P. Rundquist; or-dained a Priest Sept. 6, 1868, by ; labored as a district presi-dent; was ordained an Elder June 6, 1869, by John Hagman; was appointedpresident of the Helsingborg branch,Scona conference, in 1870, and subse-quently labored three years as a localmissionary in Christianstad and vicin-. years, being set apart to that positionOct. 25, 1874. In 1882, when Sandybranch was organized as a Ward, El-der Gaelte was ordained a High Priestand set apart as second counselor toBishop Ezekiel Holman by Angus , which position he occupieduntil the Bishopric was changed. Since1882 he has officiated, in nearly all thebaptisms that has taken place in SandyWard. LARSON, Jonn A., a member of theHigh Council of the Jordan ptaKe, anda prominent Elder of Sandy, Salt Lakecounty, Utah, was born Oct. 8, 1854, inSlemminge, Skurup parish, MalmohusIan, Sweden. Becoming a convert toMormonism, he was baptized Dec. 18,1876, in Malmo, Sweden, by Nils Bengt-son. He emigrated to Utah in 1877,and located in Sandy, where he stillresides. In 1879 he was ordained anElder, and he was ordained a SeventyJune 5, 1884, by Lauritz Smith. He mar-ried Hilda H. H. Ostlund, Jan. 1, 1880,daughter of Erick E. and Hannah Ost
