The resultant products of combustionmight be delivered to a double-acting cyl-inder engine, similar to an ordinary steamengine, or probably to better advantage theymight be permitted to impinge upon theblades of a gas turbine of the dc Lavaltype, this having the advantage of avoidingthe use of a water jacket, and probably per-mitting a high degree of efficiency to be ob-tained.
