Volunteers participate in community improvement projects in Detroit
Detroit, Michigan - Thousands of volunteers participated in a week-long community improvement initiative called Life Modeled. Volunteers from churches, businesses, and other organizations repaired or remodeled existing homes, boarded-up vacant houses, and cleaned yards and streets. Here women clean bricks removed from a crumbling porch in preparation for using them to rebuild.
