A bask (group) of saltwater male crocodiles at the Malcolm Douglas wildlife park near Broome in Western Australia. The saltwater crocodile is the largest reptile in the world and is a native of northern and northwestern Australia and Asia. The group of 70 were born and bred on the12 acres park created by founder and conservationist Malcolm Douglas in 1983 as a crocodile research park. In 2008, the park was officially opened to the public. Feeding time at the venue is at 3pm daily and is a popular time for visitors to come and see and to hear the fearsome sound of snapping jaws.
