Northwestern Glacier in the Northwestern Fjord of the Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska.

Northwestern Glacier in the Northwestern Fjord of the Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska. This glacier, still one of the largest in the area, was estimated to be 2 miles wide in 1852 and it filled what is now an extensive fjord completely, calving directly into the Gulf of Alaska. It is melting more rapidly as time passes.
