There appears to be a certain amount ofconfusion with regard to the limits of somespecies, as well as to the position and number ofteeth or plates in some of the Cingalese membersof the genus, and it is hoped that the presentnotes may help to elucidate some of the doubtfulpoints. Anfr. 5 convexiusculi, intersuturam at peripheriam valde angulati, ultimus subtusornatur striis spiralibus quae secundum latus lineis vel rugisimpressiS obliquis decussantur; antice convexior, valdedilatatus, profunde descendens. Apertura obliqua, obtusesubcordata, lamellis 3 parietales (media elongata, validaque,laterales niinores, profundaeque). 4 palatales flexuosae,longulae, perlucentes, 3 ab apertura visibiles.
