Husking cocoa pods in Ghana a major world producer cocoa


Cocoa pods are harvested and then allowed to dry before fermenting. Here workers in family groups prepare with machetes the cocoa pods they have harvested from their own trees. These poor African farmers are often the victim of price swings in the global cocoa harvest over which they have no control.
