In the interests of preserving the craft of dry stone walling and in raising public understanding of this aspect of the Yorkshire landscape, Otley & Yorkshire Dales Branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association started this project the first phase was completed in 2003. his permanent and unique exhibit exemplifies all the skills of the Master Craftsman dry stone waller. It draws together the highest standards of dry stone walling. It also interprets the characteristics and the practical applications of the craft in the landscape.
