Cottages by the roadside facing Loch Carron in the village of Lochcarron, Wester Ross, Highlands of Scotland. North Coast 500 route.

In the village of Lochcarron, on the opposite side of the road to the tidal loch, the single storey houses or bothy are typical of the original properties. They now have slate roof with windows, but when built they were thatched. One of those used to be Jeantown Stores, a general store up until 1990's. Jeantown is the former name for this part of Lochcarron village.
