The cars were built at the Pittsburg forged channel shapes with cover and bottom plates. It isgy2 ins. deep at the center bearing and 5 ins. deep at theside bearing. The channel shapes are attached to the sidesills by a wrought bracket construction, the cover platesoverlapping the channels.
