Autumn Cornish footpath rugged cliff view. This part of the South West footpath gives excellent views of the rugged Cornish coastline near Lands End. The mighty granite cliffs are pounded by the Atlantic Ocean. This image was captured in early autumn at low tide and shows the geology and grandeur of this coastline. The massive granite outcrop of Carn Les Boel also overlooks Mill Bay. Choughs (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax) have been reintroduced here and can be seen flying overhead. Scenes from the popular television series ‘Poldark’ were filmed near here.
