Afterserving the Scotch term of appren-ticeship, seven years, he workedin each of the three kingdoms,Scotland, England and years ago he came toCanada, settling in Toronto, wherehe worked for about ten years, after which a partnership was formedbetween Mr. Henry Hogarth and himself, under the style Fiddes &Hogarth. This partnership still continues. The firm do a largebusiness as general plumbers and gas and steam-fitters. Mr. Fiddes C. A. Bates, 2nd Alex. Another young man the members of the association have honoredwith an office is J. R. Seager, 872 Queen street west, who has beenappointed sergeant-at-arms. Seven years ago Mr. Seager startedat plumbing, etc., with W. R. Ross & Co., at the present place ofbusiness. On Mr. Ross retirement from business, three years ago,he became sole proprietor. Although his business includes plumb-ing and steam and gas-fitting, Mr. Seager makes plumbing aspecialty, and has experienced from the beginning a steady increase,till now his business is ia a very satisfactory condition.
