Eric Clapton's Fool guitar on display during the media preview for Julien's "Played, worn, torn rock'n'roll iconic guitars and memorabilia" auction on November 6, 2023 in New York City. Famously known as Clapton’s “Fool,” the circa 1964 Gibson SG electric guitar, first stage-played by the legendary guitarist while touring the United States with iconic rock band Cream and Clapton developed his influential “woman tone” sound, exhibits a custom-painted psychedelic finish created by members of the Dutch art collective known as "The Fool" (estimate: $1,000,000 - $2,000,000).
