Allahabad (India) : the Maha Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith held every twelfth year. It started on Monday, 14th January, 2013. About 100 million people should gather in the city of Allahabad, in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh during about 2 months celebration. Hindu clergymen as well as people coming from all over the world gather in this mythical place located at the sacred union of the rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati Here apprentice-sadhus are waiting to have their hair shaved off before purifying themselves in the sacred river.
