Coast Guard Officers Commandeer a Native Boat in Calcutta. There's no lack of transportation in India, what with all the rickshaws and native "bum" boats. Here, Coast Guard Lieutenant (JG) Edwin J. Moline (left) of 9204 Saybrook Aveny, Silver Spring, Md., and Lieutenant (JG) Phillip J. Halla of 408 East Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, Fla., board a native boat for transportation to a liberty ship in the harbor. They're members of one of the many far-flung Merchant Marine hearing units operated by the Coast Guard.
