World Pea Shooting Championships . . Current World Pea Shooting Champion Rob Bresler (centre) and Dan Cross sort the peas using different straining and grading methods. The World Pea Shooting Championships have been held annually at Witcham since 1971 and contestants may use peashooters made from any material, but must not exceed 12 inches in length. The peas must be fired by blowing with the mouth, and laser sights to help aim at the target, are not uncommon. Pic: Paul Marriott
