Sharp, reports under date March 17 — The following is an abridged report of work done at the mine since starting on the 1st instant :— After doing necessary repairs we started to bale on the 4th., tho water being at the 340 feet level. At 600 feet we found a water tank stuck in the shaft, which we had to cut out. owing to the ironwork being bent. Starting to bale again on March 12th, the water has been lowered to a depth of 1000 feet from the surface.
