(A,) coronata has a whorl section (Collignon 1970, pi. 631 (fig. 2328))comparable to typical M. {A.) australis though not quite as depressedrectangular. Here the ventrolateral spines are not as strong and spatulateand about four external tubercles occur per spine. The whorl section of SAS-Z705 (Figs 234-235A) is virtually identical to that of the holotype of M. {A.)coronata, but it lacks the proliferation of external tubercles.
