The birds inthe lower panels are bythe same artist, and aredrawn with equal spiritand vigor, but withoutthe same care and in ahastier manner; but thecolor here is perhapseven richer and moreeffective than in thehuman figures. Alto-gether the work is anexceedingly satisfactoryone, and an admirableexample of a correcttaste in design and or-namentation.
